Experimental Animation: Visiting Artists

This course features weekly conversations with animators who will share insights through lectures, screenings, workshops, and critiques. The visiting artists will offer perspectives on unconventional techniques, artistic risk-taking, and navigating creative challenges. Students in the course will engage directly with artists pushing the boundaries of animation, gaining inspiration and practical strategies for sustaining an experimental practice. Regular readings and writing assignments will give students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of individual practices and the contemporary field. May be repeated for credit.
