Description
Open to BFA3 Acting students, this course refines each actor's personal speech practice and deepens their integration of Voice and Speech skills in the speaking of classical and modern texts. Students advance their mastery of Edith Skinner's Classic American Stage Speech and practically engage with the International Phonetic Alphabet through Knight-Thompson Speechwork. The semester emphasizes speech dexterity, ear training, and empathetic understanding of global human expression through spoken language, beginning the groundwork for accent and dialect acquisition.
